The USRADAR Quantum Imager is the world's first GPR system with a true triple-frequency antenna, transmitting simultaneously at 250 MHz, 500 MHz and 1000 MHz. This provides a complete subsurface image in a single pass – from high-resolution imaging of shallow targets to deep underground utilities.
Stepped Ultra Wideband technology combines the advantages of impulse radar and stepped-frequency radar, offering exceptional resolution and penetration depth. Modern Direct RF Sampling produces clearer images that are easier to interpret than those from older radar technologies.
The kit includes a rugged, sunlight-readable tablet (Getac / Panasonic) meeting MIL-STD-810G and rated IP65. The system is mounted on a folding cart with tubeless, puncture-resistant wheels for easier operation on challenging terrain. Two hot-swappable batteries allow surveying to continue throughout the day.
Quantum Imager is used for underground utility locating, pavement and bridge diagnostics, geological investigations, archaeology, and detecting voids and tanks. It can investigate targets at depths of up to approximately 9 m (30 ft), depending on ground conditions.
