IDS GeoRadar Opera XR is a next-generation ground-penetrating radar (GPR) system for locating and mapping underground utilities. Mounted on a robust folding cart, it is designed to make underground infrastructure detection faster, deeper and more accurate than ever before.

Opera XR uses an antenna that is dual-frequency 200 MHz and 900 MHz with an inspection range of 80 MHz – 1500 MHz and patented technology EsT (Equalized scrambled Technology). This technology provides 40–60% greater penetration depth and higher resolution than conventional GPR systems. Simultaneous display of both frequencies aids interpretation: the high frequency provides near-surface detail, while the low frequency provides greater depth.
