DT100 + DE100 with a clamp — more ways to apply a signal
The most extensively equipped of these kits adds a Leica DT Series signal clamp to the DT100 locator, DE100 transmitter, two Li-Ion batteries and two chargers. It offers a choice of signal application methods to suit access to the utility: crocodile-clip leads, a clamp or induction.
A signal clamp for the DT100 / DE100 system
The included clamp, catalogue number 1005583, belongs to the DT Series. It surrounds an accessible cable and couples the tracing signal without a direct crocodile-clip contact with the conductor. This helps where a connection point is difficult to access. The same clamp can work with the receiver for cable identification within a bundle, following the system manual.
Selective tracing in complex infrastructure
After a signal is applied, the DT100 follows the selected line using readings from different locating modes. Current, voltage and resistance measurements on the DE100 help assess the circuit. The kit supports surveying cable routes, utility junctions and service connections before ground works and during infrastructure maintenance.
Li-Ion power with alkaline holders retained
Each DT100 and DE100 receives its own battery and dedicated charger. The manufacturer specifies up to 15 hours of continuous receiver operation and up to 17 hours for the transmitter with Li-Ion power. The 6 × AA and 8 × LR20 holders, crocodile-clip leads, earth stake and bag remain included. The clamp expands the equipment rather than replacing the leads.

Choosing and using the kit
Does the clamp replace the crocodile-clip leads?
No. Both direct-connection leads and the Leica DT Series signal clamp are supplied. AA and LR20 holders, an earth stake and a bag are also retained.
