DT100 + DE100 with battery holders — active utility tracing
This kit combines the DT100 precision locator with the DE100 transmitter and the accessories for applying a tracing signal. It uses alkaline battery holders: 6 × AA in the receiver and 8 × LR20 in the transmitter. The transport bag keeps the instruments and connection leads together for field work.
Checking utilities before ground works
The system traces cables, metal pipes and tracer wires fitted to non-metallic utilities. A dedicated transmitter applies a recognisable signal to the selected line, supplementing passive detection. Typical tasks include preparing excavations, following service connections and checking infrastructure records against field observations.
Readings that help assess the tracing signal
The DT100 provides peak, null and sweep modes, while its frequency analyser helps select settings for the surrounding interference. The DE100 display reports circuit measurements so the operator can assess the connection before following the route. Supplied crocodile-clip leads and an earth stake support direct connection; the transmitter also supports induction.
Alkaline power and future expansion
Battery holders are the power option supplied here. The DE100 delivers up to 5 W with alkaline cells; up to 10 W requires an optional Li-Ion pack. Rechargeable batteries, chargers and a signal clamp are not included in this version. Choose an extended DT100 Series kit if you need those accessories from the outset.

Choosing and using the kit
Does this kit include rechargeable batteries and a clamp?
No. This version includes AA and LR20 holders, leads, an earth stake and a bag. Li-Ion batteries, chargers and a clamp are available in extended kits.
